Testing some features

I'm posting this to test a new feature I want to implement: a tooltip that should appear when you hover your mouse over an entry image. This way I can include the name of a graphic inside an image code.

For this I'll use the photo of my two angels, bless their hearts:

Now I need to add some code to the css, and it should work like a charm. I only tested this in my browser Flock, which is based on Firefox so I don't know if Opera or IE users will see it.

There should be a popup or a tooltip in the lower right hand corner that says My kitties. It has rounded corners, a 3px double border, brownish background and bold text. It doesn't show in Opera though. :(

And I miss my kitties so much after all this time! A pox on those who poisoned them! x-(

looking at it on your page, it works.

On my friends page, the "My Kitties" is on the side as a caption.

Huh, that's strange. For me it works when I look at the individual entry, my recent page and my friends page. Could it have something to do with the browser you're using? Let me check.

Very strange, if I look at it on your friends page, I also see that it's just a caption off to the side. I'll have to investigate that.

Right hand corner, a pop up that says, "My kitties." That it? I'm using firefox. I'll go check in IE and Chrome.

Okay, weird. In firefox it's a rounded pop up in the corner, in chrome it's a square box. That's a trip. Gonna check IE now.

And I see it in IE (think I'm running 9, don't remember) It's a square box like Chrome, but it doesn't rest on the bottom, it's slightly above it, almost like a spacer, or something is there. Wacky!

Yes, I'm afraid rounded corners are a feature that only shows in Firefox and browsers based on it. I use Flock and adore it. I know for a fact that it doesn't show at all in Opera, so I'll have to look into how I can make it visible there.

In IE there's one pixel space between the tooltip and the bottom of the photo. IE is known to treat padding and margins in a different way from other browsers.

My poor kitties... they were poisoned... The calico was the mother, and her name could be translated as Tweety because she mostly used this chirping sound to talk to us. The tabby's name was Lola, short for Run Lola Run, since she never stayed in one place long and didn't walk unless she had to.

I don't know if I'll ever be able to have another cat, though I love them. It's beside the point anyway since my aunt is severely allergic.

It just occurred to me that since I sometimes sign my wallpapers in the lower right hand corner, it would be better to move the caption to the left, so I did.

For those of you who don't see it on your friends' pages, I supposed that' s because you don't have this particular piece of code. I will see how to at least move the caption to the bottom instead of to the side.
