The first one is the infamous "A gentleman does not debase himself by engagin' in menial labor." scene. Ezra P. sure enjoys his flask a lot more than working in the hot sun!

And the second one is based on the final scene from The New Law. It's one of my favorite (if not the favorite) scenes, with all of them walking together as one down the street.

I kept saying I would start using Dreamwidth more, but never did. This seems like the perfect opportunity to do so. I'm trying out different things, some of which work great, others - not so much. I'm open to critique, and as always, feel free to take these graphics, use the pieces to make your own, just don't try to pass them off as yours.

The wallpaper is 1024x768, even though the layout makes it seem small. Right-click, and save as, and you'll get the full version. Enjoy Ezra P.!

I'll be eternally grateful to whoever comes up with a cure for insomnia. I tried everything, but nothing seems to work. I finally got up, turned on my computer and started fiddling with Photoshop. The result is below:

My second NaBloPoMo. This is cutting it close, right?

I have two wallpapers for you tonight. I haven't spent too much time on them, as I just wanted to create something. It took maybe 35 minutes, and I usually spent an hour or more on a single wallpaper.

Red

The Past. Sarah and Adam are important to Chris, so I thought it was time for them to get their own wallpaper.

Yep, I have finally posted them! Comments are welcome, feel free to download to your computers and share the Mag7 love.

The first one I called First Look, since it is about the first glimpse Vin and JOsiah have of Maude:

I am finally uploading a new wallpaper.

It was something I had planned to do for the [livejournal.com profile] hgx texture/fanart contest, but that's been over a year ago. Good Lord, I just checked my tags; according to them, my last wallpaper was the Chaucer one, on 15th-Mar-2008 01:20 pm. Eek! [livejournal.com profile] egorstandish was suffering from a writer's block, and I was suffering from the fanartist's one!

Anyway, it's a "Serpents" wallpapers, and I'll be spamming the comms, notifying them of my latest grand achievement (:snort: picture Buck saying "Yeah, right!" to jailed Ezra in ODOW). (^_^)

All joking aside, hope you'll like it!

All the best, Aida

Oh, hey, and happy birthday to Tony!

I found this one here and could not resist it - it is SO cute, with Ezra's green eyes and tactile sensitivity!

ETA: Just had to delete a draft of my previous post - I have no idea how I managed to publish that!  Must be some strange glitch!  :-|

Chaucer!

Hi there!

I'm sorry I've been away for so long, but things haven't been that great for me lately.  I was only able to make one new wallpaper - of Chaucer (and Ezra), no less! - and a variation of the Ezra DVD wallpaper.

The credit for Chaucer's name goes to Kristin, and I've read so many NotTasha's stories with him in them that that's how I see him.

The other one is, like I said, a variation of Ezra's wallpaper.  Since his was the first one I made, and since the other boys got nice quotes and little pictures at the bottom of the wallpaper, I thought I should rectify that oversight:

(PS - There's another one in the gallery, not much difference, just some extra text.  You will also find two more old ones of Ezra in "Serpents".)

Like always, comments are welcome!

Here's another one of my fic-inspired wallpapers.  I made this one after reading an amazing story called Such Bold and Bloody Causes, written by Debra Hicks.  I would recommend it to any Mag7 fan, no matter whether your favorite is Ezra or any other Mag7 character.

I hope you like it!

ETA: Since some of you wanted to read the story (and I of course had to forget to include the link!) I'm adding it now: Such Bold and Bloody Causes.

Mothers

A little over six months ago, my mother was diagnosed with breast cancer.  She had surgery, went through chemotherapy and now she’s on meds.  Her spirits are high and she’s doing well.

Her illness got me thinking about the Mag7 and their mothers.  We know only bits and pieces about them, and they all seem to be deceased, with one obvious exception – Maude.  We know that J.D.’s mother died shortly before he headed West, that Vin’s mother died when he was five, and that Buck’s mother was a working girl.  We can assume she’s also dead, since he speaks of her in the past tense, and with reverence (She was a saint).  Nathan’s mother killed herself when she found out that she was pregnant by the white man who had raped her.  We know nothing about Chris’ and Josiah’s mothers.

These wallpapers were made using the stills I took from the second season of the Magnificent Seven.  A friend of mine went to the UK, and got them for me as a gift!

I don't know if the UK version is any different from the US version.  I think I read somewhere that the back of the DVD has a short sinopsis of each episode - that is absent on my DVD.  If there's someone who has the US version, I'd be willing to upload the scan and compare notes.

On to the wallpapers: I made two so far, one Ezra, and the other one Chris.

So, here's Ezra:

and Chris:

So, are they cool or what? ;)

Oh, and BTW, there were people who were looking for the color version of that Ezra picture.  Well, here it is, so anybody who wants it, can take it and crop it.

That's all, folks!

I was listening to a Sting album I bought last time I was home and I was touched by one of his songs, Shape of my Heart.  I thought it would be a perfect Ezra song, but since I have no idea how to make a vid, I thought I should see if any of you guys would be willing.  Here are the lyrics:

Title :Sting - Shape Of My Heart

He deals the cards as a meditation
And those he plays never suspect
He doesn't play for the money he wins
He doesn't play for respect
He deals the cards to find the answer
The sacred geometry of chance
The hidden law
Of a probable outcome
The numbers lead a dance

I know that the spades are swords of a soldier
I know that the clubs are weapons of war
I know that diamonds mean money for this art
But that's not the shape of my heart

He may play the jack of diamonds
He may lay the queen of spades
He may conceal a king in his hand
While the memory of it fades

I know that the spades are swords of a soldier
I know that the clubs are weapons of war
I know that diamonds mean money for this art
But that's not the shape of my heart

And if I told you that I loved you
You'd maybe think there's something wrong
I'm not a man
Of too many faces
The mask I wear is one
Those who speak know nothing
And find out to their cost
Like those who curse their luck
In too many places
And those who fear are lost

I know that the spades are swords of a soldier
I know that the clubs are weapons of war
I know that diamonds mean money for this art
But that's not the shape of my heart

Anyone interested?

Well, here's another one, a lot sooner than I thought.  There are actually two, but both of them are a variation on a topic.  I found some neat Photoshop actions and decided to try them out.  It seems I'm on a roll these days, since I keep getting ideas that I'd like to apply to more and more wallpapers.  For one thing, [profile] idrilelendil inspired me to make my own version of the "There are two kinds of people" speech from the pilot, and that will be my next post (hopefully soon).  In the meantime, here are the wallpapers:

Enjoy!

Dear all,

I made two more wallpapers of  my favorite Mag7 boys, one of my BrigaDear General and his confrontation with Nathan in "Working Girls",

and the other about Vin, called "Lonesome rider"

Enjoy!
