Steph was, if not the very first friend I made in fandom, then one of the first. Her support was invaluable to me when I lost my mother to breast cancer. In a bitter twist of fate, both she and her husband have now been diagnosed with cancer and as you can imagine, the cost of treatment is eating into their savings. A fundraiser has been set up for them, and if you can donate, every little bit helps.
