Date: 2011-09-13 07:01 pm (UTC)I do NOT believe in execution for those who commit heinous crime.
They need to pay for the crime by prison, no parole
Let them think about what they did.................
And in the event the person is innocent, then they can be released as almost 300 have from death row due to DNA evidence that is just now surfacing.
Utah still uses a firing squad.

Preach it, sister! First of all, there's always a chance that a person was wrongly convicted, and second of all, if a person is guilty of a crime and is sentenced to death, it feels like they're getting of easy. I feel that if the crime is a heinous one, they should be made to pay for what they've done. They can be put to work and the money given to charity.

Date: 2011-09-13 07:12 pm (UTC)You took the words right out of my mouth. I almost replied far too easy
whereas sitting in prison is not................and even less in a place like
Pelican bay where there is 23 hour lock down.............
When they execute they do what anybody having surgery is subjected to,
anesthetizing, only in their case they don't wake up
So where's the punishment???
I just saw a film called Conviction which covered the innocent on death row
She worked to get her brother released from a crime he did not commit but was on death row for 17 years........................
DNA is what finally did it, but you know earlier they had no way of checking
I wonder how many innocent died and the perps walking around enjoying
life like nothing had happened??
