I took a look at the links you gave me, and though I don't have time to read them now, I bookmarked them for later, so thanks! I have a question about the first one, cause by a line at the beginning of the fic: didn't Gilraen survive her husband and live in Rivendell with Estel into his adulthood? In the fic, Elrond says Estel's parents were both killed.

That was my understanding also, but in the film it shows him as an adult
with a statue of her in the Rivendell garden so not sure.........
I think ff leans toward Elrond and his twin sons raising Estell
That piece where Estel as a child meeting Legolas is sweet and funny
