valihaI need help with a technical problem. My desktop computer keeps shutting down at startup. This has been going on for days and days, and the guys from our IT department have tested the shit out of it. There's nothing wrong with it. It never shuts down when they have it. It didn't shut down when they took it to the store it was bought it, but it shuts down when I bring it home and try to turn it on.
One of the guys said it's most likely my electricity, which is a possibility since I live in an old building. So I bought a UPS device. The fucking thing doesn't work, or I don't know how to run it, and tomorrow is Sunday and I have to wait a whole fucking day to find out if they sold me a dud or if I'm just fucking stupid and can't operate the bloody thing!
I'm reduced to swearing online, pulling my hair out and SERIOUSLY considering chucking the whole getup out the window, I swear to God!
So. Is there any one of you, your siblings, cousins, co-workers who can help me deal with this crisis because there are programs and documents on that desktop I bloody need to be able to write our fucking finals which start in a week and I only have the barest draft and there's no way to access them or transfer them because the bloody thing won't stay on for more than BLOODY TEN SECONDS!!1!
