I'm going to watch Avatar tonight. Can't hardly wait! Anyone else who saw it/is going to see it?

Aw hell, I wish I could have seen it in IMAX! There are no 3D screens here, and I'd have to take a several hour trip in order to get to a 3D equipped theater. It sucks being behind the latest movie developments.

The movie is totally worth seeing. I'd love hearing your thoughts on it.

Well, I didn't get to see Avatar. My dad wasn't feeling well, as usual, so my mom and I saw Sherlock Holmes instead. I enjoyed it, and there was a character named Standish, so that made me smile. Hopefully Avatar will still be showing at the end of January, because I will be going home then again. It's weird, because I've heard a lot of mixed reviews from people.

I absolutely adored it. It spoke to me on a very basic level, because I've lived through an occupation and war. As for the story, all Cameron's films have a very basic story, but he presents it in such a way that it absolutely works. I guess the best way to describe it is to say he works in archetypes.

Oh and btw, just read that Avatar crossed $800 world wide today. It's a mind boggling feat, considering that it's been out for only two weeks.

Hee, I have to go see Sherlock Holmes as well! I adored the series with Jeremy Brett.
