I'm going to watch Avatar tonight. Can't hardly wait! Anyone else who saw it/is going to see it?

We're taking Mara to see it over the xmas period - she's almost as excited as me! LOL!

I'm also taking the girls to see it the day after Christmas. I'm so excited about this one, I *almost* pee my pants every time I think about it!

I know! And no matter how excited you are now, you will be even more excited when you see it. How can you wait? I couldn't wait. I want to go see it in 3D, but we have no such theater here. :( I'll post about it once I'm coherent enough.

I'm going to see it with my parents when I go home for Christmas. My dad really wants to see it, and the theater by them just got an Imax screen. I'm gonna make it part of his Christmas gift, cause he's so darn hard to buy for! I made a little ticket in Photoshop to give him. :)

Aw hell, I wish I could have seen it in IMAX! There are no 3D screens here, and I'd have to take a several hour trip in order to get to a 3D equipped theater. It sucks being behind the latest movie developments.

The movie is totally worth seeing. I'd love hearing your thoughts on it.

Well, I didn't get to see Avatar. My dad wasn't feeling well, as usual, so my mom and I saw Sherlock Holmes instead. I enjoyed it, and there was a character named Standish, so that made me smile. Hopefully Avatar will still be showing at the end of January, because I will be going home then again. It's weird, because I've heard a lot of mixed reviews from people.

I absolutely adored it. It spoke to me on a very basic level, because I've lived through an occupation and war. As for the story, all Cameron's films have a very basic story, but he presents it in such a way that it absolutely works. I guess the best way to describe it is to say he works in archetypes.

Oh and btw, just read that Avatar crossed $800 world wide today. It's a mind boggling feat, considering that it's been out for only two weeks.

Hee, I have to go see Sherlock Holmes as well! I adored the series with Jeremy Brett.
