What a cool vid (I noticed it was edited by Lithium Doll who does great work) and I get such a good impression of the series from this. I-man is a real angst puppy, isn't he? I wonder, is the monochrome effect while he's looking in the mirror part of the episode? Only his eyes were coloured red so I wasn't sure if it was edited on the vid or if the clip was straight from the episode. Either way, they did a really nice job on this, thanks for putting it here.

I found it in the collection gathered by InvisibleDanielle, I didn't watch the vid all the way through, just remembered that I liked it a lot the first time I saw it, so I'll edit that part.

But yes, I-Man is an angst puppy! I'm a bit of an h/c addict, so that's fine by me. :)

Regarding that part of the episode, no, it wasn't monochrome, but a night scene in his room at the compound, after he starts learning to control the Quicksilver flow. (By that time it was already starting to accumulate in his system, and to have some... unfortunate side effects.) It draws your attention to his eyes, and Vince looks really scary with those contacts. You mentioned earlier he reminded you of demons; that means they accomplished what they were after - to emphasize the difference in Darien's appearance and behavior under the influence of Quicksilver Madness, and how he becomes this totally amoral person who will stop at absolutely nothing to get what he wants. And it's creepy as hell, since he's usually such a nice, easy going guy.

To keep it fair, there's an awesome BobbyHobbes! video at Flummery, called "Speed Racer" by Margie.
