A painting I did following a tutorial on Derwent's website. It's OK, I guess. I still have a lot to learn.

Done with Derwent Aquatone, Inktense and Watercolor pencils on Cotman watercolor paper.

It's pretty! I like the reflections in the water...

I messed up the reflections of two of the sticks. I love the pencils though - they're fantastic. I still want to master watercolors too; but pencils are more manageable, and there's no risk of spillage because I have a waterbrush! Lo and behold:

Thank you! This was supposed to be the first of many naarmamo pieces; sadly, it turned out to be the only one. I really should learn not to make any kind of announcements because they inevitably fall through; I should just make my mind up about something and then do it.

P.S. Have you been having problems with posting replies? It takes multiple tries and several visits to the 4040 page before I can post a reply. I might even end up double posting, so don't be surprised.
