Date: 2011-10-02 06:34 pm (UTC)Of course, I hope to do this by hand, do a watercolor painting, scan and edit it, and then upload as a header. I want it to trail into invisibility to the right side, since I have a large monitor and the image cuts off quite noticeably for me.

Date: 2011-10-02 06:36 pm (UTC)I was going to ask if it was not the bridge near where you live.
It is gorgeous..............something almost fairytale about it
I think I read a story once in ff where it described a bridge like this

That bridge is so beautiful and now I can see how you kind of edited out the people.
And you're right, none of your posts are timestamped. That must be part of your theme?

Date: 2011-10-02 09:21 pm (UTC)I tried GIMP, and I found I'm so used to Photoshop that it's very difficult for me to get used to it. I keep expecting it to have things it doesn't. I tried the modification that makes it more similar to PS, but it crashes every time. It's frustrating.
The Old Bridge has a really special place in our hearts. It is a UNESCO cultural site, built in the 16th century, and it's been used for a high diving competition ever since it's been built 445 years ago. It was destroyed during the war, and rebuilt using the original stones retrieved from the river, using the same techniques that were used when it was originally built. For many locals, seeing it destroyed was like being stabbed in the back.
As for the Mag7 bingo, the master post is on Dreamwidth. I plan to add a link to each piece as I finish and post it.
