My laptop has to go back to the shop for some repairs!!  It keeps overheating and turning off when I need it most!  That means that I can't use it at the Uni, and I can't make any wallpapers and banners I promised for the next -- who knows how many days!!

They said they have no idea how much time the repair's going to take, but if it's over 40 days they'll give me a new one.  I don't want another one!  It won't have all the programs I use.  I'll have to install everything from scratch!!  Right now, I'm backing up all my school docs - tests, quizes, exams - and all my pretty pictures of the boys and all the fanfic!!

I'll see if I can finish the last two banner tonight; I'd hate to see you have to wait that long.

That sucks. I need to send mine in for repairs too, but I keep putting it off. None of my USB ports work anymore, and my power cord is sometimes wonky. Too many times of being knocked off the ottoman.

I can't offer any technical advice in backing things up faster, but I'm willing to share my chocolate, if that helps.

That is bad. I was going to put off sending mine too, but it sealed its fate today when I got shocked by a static electricity discharge. That seems like something very wrong, and I don't want to risk getting seriously shocked.

Oooh! Chocolate! I like dark chocolate, with a high percentage of cocoa. Mmmm, thanks, I feel better already!

*hugs your laptop* in the vain hope that it'll be a quick repair.

Ouch! Getting shocked doesn't seem like a good thing when dealing with laptops. Hope you get everything saved and have a quick and easy repair.

I hope it'll be quick too. I have a 4 GB stick with Portable Apps on it, so I can work on my files from any computer, but it's so dang inconvenient! I keep getting interrupted by others who need the computer.

No, it doesn't! It wasn't too bad, but still, it's not supposed to happen. And there's no guarantee that it won't get worse if left unchecked. I managed to save everything, and now all I can do is wait.
