I've been living here for four years, and I still don't know how to walk on snow and ice. Plus, I live on a very steep street, so that makes it even worse. It takes me ages to get to work, whereas usually it's only ten minutes away on foot.

Where I grew up, we either never had snow, or we had it for a week or two, and during that time the number of broken bones treated in the ER would rise dramatically. :)

Ha, we usually got snow four months in a year, and still snowstorms paralyze public transport, lots of people fall regularly and so on. But without snow it's much worse:).

It's snowing here too! It's really glittery and pretty, but I'm not looking forward to shoveling cause it's freezing out!

Oh yeah, it's gorgeous to look at when you're inside the house, having tea or hot chocolate, but when you have to go somewhere... not so much. My sister would love it here, she's a total snow lover; me, not so much. :)

We never get snow, never.

OTOH, we had drought up till last year and now we're in the middle of floods...

Lucky you! I swear, even after all this time I still have no idea how to walk on snow. My colleagues can't help but laugh at me move inch by inch when they take great strides and talk on their cellphones or look around. I have to keep my eyes on the ground in front of me at all times. And on top of that, while I still carried my laptop with me, I had to worry about not falling and breaking it. :shudders:
