Got some things to share

I must have the worst luck in the world. My vacation plans for this year were totally ruined by summer school and retake exams, and after that was taken care of, my back started acting up. Again. Twice in as many months. I was incapacitated for days. The worst thing is that I get the feeling that my doctor, and quite a few of my family member, don't believe that I'm actually in pain. I just returned from my home town, and I will attempt (again) to convince my doctor to send me in for some tests.

Like my plans for a shiny vacation, my plan to participate in naarmamo failed utterly. I guess I'll try again next year. :sigh:

[Lotsa cuts cause I previewed this thing and it was LONG! ]

I had seen a couple of episodes a long time ago on a local station, but they: 1. didn't show all the episodes (I think maybe a third) and 2. what little they did put on air was shown out of order. It was all very confusing. :(

I went through the show in a few days, then watched the movie. Gah! Yet another show that was stupidly canceled. But they have such cool materials available. Their companion books (hee!) are fantastic, and I was able to snag both volumes for a very low price on Amazon. Why doesn't MGM produce something like that for Mag7? :wails: And just look at the Big Damn Heroes figurines - imagine having one of Ezra doing the horse jump and swirl and pointing his guns at two people (in The New Law, I think it was). :guh:

Fun show, and I love watching Nathan Fillion. I don't feel like I will create anything for either fandom, I just like (re)watching them for now. I have the Big Bang to concentrate on. TWO ENTRIES!

And finally, this evening I received an update from a website I follow, called makeuseof.com. They often post links to interesting stuff. In their free mp3 albums section they posted a link to bandcamp, a website where artists can upload their songs/albums and make them available for free or small donation. I liked the one called Spectrum 2.0, by Brittany Bosco. She's described as
an artist from Savannah, Georgia. Being a professionally trained singer, she is able to use her voice in ways most young talents can only dream of. The album was originally released in September last year, but it’s timeless.
Genre: alternative, indie, experimental, jazz, soul, so I would recommend it to anyone who's partial to those genres.

I recently read an article on muscle and back pain which basically states that doctors tend not to believe people who complain about that kind of pain because the causes are not easily tracked down. The believability level gets lower if you're a woman complaining about pain. >_

Hope you'll succeed in convincing your doctor and they'll find out what's wrong and fix it.

Big Bang, yeah... Two entries and I'm only in the middle of my own story, and my muse keeps wanting strange things... But we'll survive it, I'm sure:).

Yeah, I hope so too. I've been to see her a few times so far, but haven't been able to convince her she should refer me to a specialist. Without that referral I can do squat. [Well actually I can't cause I wouldn't be able to stand up afterward. ;)] Yes, I could goo to a private clinic, but I have a powerful need to eat some time this month. o_O Oh look, random Firefly reference!

(God, these painkillers are making me loopy!)

Oh yeah, the regular docs ignore symptoms, and in private clinic they will find a dozen of causes, only to charge you more:(. Familiar situation. Good luck with your doctor, because painkillers surely aren't the answer:(.

So sorry to hear about your back. I feel your pain - did the incapacitation while on summer vacation thing myself. Keep hassling the doctors until you get what diagnosis/treatment you need, hon. And yay Mag7 Big Bang! You artists are total heroes :)

I must, or this will just keep repeating until it gets worse and worse and I'm unable to do anything.

Big Bang! I shudder to think what I've gotten myself into, and right before the semester starts, and before I have to take the rest of my exams. I've been trying to write the syllabus for this year, but my mind can't seem to be able to wrap itself around the concept. And the exam I have at the end of September is just dry facts and I can't memorize anything!

(God, this Facebook/Twitter thing is so bloody irritating. Have you seen the [livejournal.com profile] news? Almost 2000 comments on 33 pages of protests.)

Good luck with the docs!

Thank you, I will need it. :)

Hi Aida,

Ooh, back pain. I'm sorry you're in pain. Sending lots of healing energy your way. Hope you can convince your doctors and feel better soon.

Firefly and castle, we love them too. Mag 7 companion books or a dvd with all seven guys talking about what is was like working together would be a dream come true.

Your artwork is always amazing. :) I am sure you'll do a marvelous job on your entries. I have two entries to do too. I have a few ideas for pios to use for the manips I am thinking of creating. I still don't know who my authors are though. I am waiting for an email though Yahoo has been a bit wonky on me or a PM to let me know who my authors are. I am excited about the big bang.

Also, sweetie, thanks for the tip about the music of Brittany Bosco. It's always nice to find new music.

take care
hugs

:sigh: Yeah, it's getting old now. I'm tired of it, and I want it gone, or at least I want to know what's causing it so I can do something about it.

Nathan Fillion is such a great guy! Mal and castle are such polar opposites, but he still pulls both of them off without a problem.

I would pay good money for a Mag7 companion book, not to mention a DVD with the guys. ♥

You're welcome! Finding new music is always great, and I plan to surf around that site a bit more.

You too, honey; it's always a pleasure talking to you.

Yay for Firefly! I hope you can get your back pain figured out. Maybe you should find a new doctor?
