Sleepless
I'll be eternally grateful to whoever comes up with a cure for insomnia. I tried everything, but nothing seems to work. I finally got up, turned on my computer and started fiddling with Photoshop. The result is below:
Ambidextrous Quickdraw

Seriously, not only is the man a good shot, he shoots well with BOTH hands, has a hidden derringer, a rifle, is damn good in a fist fight, not to mention that he knows how to use heavy artillery. Not!woobie if I ever saw one.

i love that he shoots with both hands equally well, but not both at the same time (like JD). i also saw somewhere that someone had put together a vid or a picspam where they went through the whole series, piecing together whether he was a lefty or a righty. and the ambidextrous thing stood out... he even wrote with both hands on the show!

I remember that, it was a vid! I think it's somewhere on YouTube. I wonder if that was just the character, or if Tony's ambidextrous too.

Tony is ambidextrous too! I think it was his decision to add that bit of himself into his character. Here's the vid you were talking about:

Sorry you're having trouble sleeping. I have the same problem sometimes, although I think I only have myself to blame. I think it's my weird sleeping patterns that do it. If I were to go to bed and get up at the same time everyday, I probably wouldn't have that problem. Have you tried taking over-the-counter pills? They're really the only thing that helps me fall asleep, and stay asleep.
Awesome wallpaper! Love the colors and the blending of the photos.

That's a nice tidbit about Tony! I wonder if that's one of Ezra's God given gifts or if it's something he learned. In any case, it makes sense to take advantage of such an asset. I wonder what it would be like to be ambidextrous...
I have weird sleeping patterns too. We don't have a textbook we'd like to use with our students, so we have to write our own lectures and that takes time. None of us goes to bed before midnight or 1 a.m., sometimes later. As a consequence, all our sleeping patterns are shot to hell. I'm desperate for a good textbook!
I tried over-the-counter pills, but my trouble is I have a strong gag reflex and it's tough even getting them past my throat. And if they're plain, un-coated tablets they tend to make me sick. :(

I have trouble swallowing pills too. I always have to psych myself out, by chewing some food, and then putting the pill in my mouth right before I swallow. That way I can't feel the pill at all when it goes down.

Lovely picture, but I'm so sorry for the cause, Sis gets insomnia and I know what a drag it can be :(

:sighs: I'm conflicted, because it's so damn exhausting and I don't need this when I have a major exam on the 20th, but at least I made something, so I gas Yay? for that.
(something to be happy about: the external examiners are gone! Woot!)

In some way I can see the appeal, it is tied to the appeal of h/c and comfort fics, but I firmly believe that you can trash them without turning them into frail and fragile (and wet and weedy weedy) flowerlets...

Sorry to hear about the insomnia - I sympathize.

I just made myself some nice tea, and I hope I won't have the same problem again. It's most likely stress and the pressure of work and school. I'm just so tired all the time.

Lovely wallpaper. That Ezra was talented! I agree, more fic needs to showcase his awesomeness.

What do you do about it? Any special brand f tea? milk, hot cocoa? meditation? pills? I need to be calm and collected, but I feel like I'm on fire most days.
Thank you! He sure was. I'm hopeless when it comes to fic, I'd just run in too many directions and never get anything done, so I always hope I'll find something others have written and enjoy it.

And, man, as I was writing this I wondered why I haven't seen anything from you on my fpage, and went to check, only to find I didn't friend you back when I meant to! :headdesk: :rectifies: I obviously need a pen and pad of paper with me at all hours.

I don't know about vitamins, but I do know that cutting pills is usually a very bad ides, since some are meant to dissolve in the small intestines, not your stomach because they may damage it. You should always check with your doctor whether a particular pill can be cut or not.

And good call! I will remember to do that before I injure myself, lol.

I love that scene with his coat flapping, too. I turn to goo every time I see it. Not just the flappy coat, but how almost... casual (?) he is in handling the gun. There's something in his casual competence in his little moments of stopping bad guys that just screams that this guy is *not to be messed with*. :)

Sorry you can't sleep, I have had my own bouts with that and it stinks. My aunt's insomnia was so bad she went on Ambien... but that just made her sleepwalk. She'd get up, eat a whole bunch of crap, and go back to bed; in the morning she'd wake up to find all kinds of wrappers all over the place! Not sure what the cure is but I empathize. :(
Anyway... Very nice wallpaper, great pic choices.
Love that you've captured the dangerous side of him, it was especially evident early on in the series. The fluttering coat is tied as my favorite cool shot of one of the boys, along with Chris coming out of the saloon in the Pilot with his duster whipping around, and JD twirling off his horse.
And the scene from 'Safecracker' where Ezra pulls his derringer is great. Really emphasized this wasn't a guy to be messed with. Tony made his eyes go so cold, there was a real sense of danger.
Great job, thanks for sharing. :)

The fluttering coat is also one of my favorites - and not just mine, so it seems. Not surprising. :) That Safecrackes scene makes me shiver!
