Wallpapers?

So I've been thinking about how there are people out there who make Magnificent Seven icons, but there are very few who also create larger sized graphics, such as banners/headers, collages and wallpapers.

The recent BigBang showed that very clearly. We had to open up artist sign ups for people who were participating as writers, and then on top of that, have the artists create art for two writers. All of them rose to the occasion, but it wasn't an easy task. I'd like to see more artists participate in the next BigBang - which we will hopefully have. (I'd also like to see fanmixers, but that's a whole 'nother topic.)

For that purpose I've created a comm, mag7wallpapers, and I'd like to invite all Mag7 fanartists to think about expanding to larger sized graphics - not necessarily wallpapers - and start posting in the comm. I intend to eventually post all my graphics there, to have them all in one location on Dreamwidth. There's nothing much there at the moment, but you're more than welcome to join. :)

I would totally recommend it! It's something like $140, which was an affordable price even for me, chronically broke that I am. There's a setting for reducing the brightness of the screen, prolonging the battery life and reducing the glare that can bother me when I want to read. There are also apps for audiobooks and podbooks, as well as an office suite so that I can open and edit Word, Excel and PowerPoint documents. I've loaded many of my postgrad notes and lectures on it, and I take it out every time I'm on a break and want to study a bit.

Well, as far as an LJ mirror is concerned, I'd love to have one, but I'm afraid it would be the straw that broke the camel's back. But between you Pezgirl and Lady Garnet, I think you would have it covered. I can create it and you girls can share admin duties, if you want.

I'm definitely keeping it in mind, thanks for linking it!

And I would never want to break your back in any way. {hugs} One of the things I decided recently was fandom should be fun and to stop doing so many things for other people and start doing more for myself; that it was okay to be selfish. I was on the verge of getting out of the fandom because I was having a harder time finding the joy in writing and doodling, yknow? I'd just spread myself too thin. You're such a proponent for the fandom, I'd hate to see the same happen to you or have you get burnt out because we're asking for too much!
