Don't I know it! It can take me several hours to make a detailed wallpaper. One way I go around the restriction of low quality screencaps is to use a lot of grungy textures, desaturation and intentional graininess/damage. I envy those fandoms with clear, hi-res images! That's also one of the reasons I want to improve my human figure and portraiture skills. :)
