Birthdays!

Hey! How come I wasn't notified of birthdays of egorstandish and quietcontrary?! I usually get notified about birthdays, and now I get back home after spending the holidays with my family, and find out that I missed sending best wishes to them. :(

Never mind, I'll try to make it up sometime soon. Hope you both had a wonderful time and enjoyed yourselves. Hugs all around!

Oh so that's why! And here I was wondering about what the reason was. I went through the phase where I ignored my birthday too, but then I thought, why not look at it as another year I survived in (reasonably) good health? That then makes it worth celebrating.

I like the way Tolkien's Hobbits celebrate their birthdays, by giving presents to others. That's how I want to celebrate my next birthday.
