Ok, so I've been tagged by ![[personal profile]](https://www.dreamwidth.org/img/silk/identity/user.png)
quietcontrary to do this meme, which is good because I haven't posted anything in two weeks (not surprising since that's how long it's been since my uncle was released from the hospital after his second stroke, and he's not doing well).
My desktop picture is a photo of Stari Most (The Old Bridge) that I found online. "The Old Bridge (Stari Most) constructed by the Mimar (architect) Hajruddin, a pupil of the famous architect Sinan (Mimar Sinan), in 1566. It consisted of a humpbacked arch with an opening of 27 metres, and was 4 metres wide and 30 metres long. It stood 20 metres above the Neretva River. Traditionally the local young men of the town used to jump over the bridge to the River Neretva to prove their courage before the wedding ceremony.
Unfortunately, The Old Bridge was totally destroyed in 1993. Through international financial aid managed by the World Bank, UNESCO established an International Committee of Experts to reconstruct The Old Bridge and The Old Town of Mostar. The Bridge reopened on 23 July 2004. In 2005, The Old Bridge and the old Mostar city announced as a part of the World Heritage by UNESCO." (credit)
I try to keep my desktop clutter-free, so I use a neat little program called Object Dock. I place icons of frequently used programs and folders on the Dock (you can see the shortcut to my Mag7 folder, as well as some of the programs I use often).
